About the Observatory

The NSFAS Observatory is an independent data project. It exists to make student-reported NSFAS issues visible at population scale — beyond individual cases and beyond the news cycle.

What this is

• A structured way for students to log NSFAS issues they have experienced.
• A public dashboard that aggregates those reports without exposing identities.
• A research tool for journalists, civil society and policymakers.

What this is not

• It is not a complaints or ticketing system.
• It is not affiliated with NSFAS.
• It does not promise resolution of your individual case.
